Kevin Dellicker Announces United States Congress Exploratory Committee
Lehigh County business owner and military veteran to consider running as a Republican for the U.S. House of Representatives in Pennsylvania’s 7th District.
Heidelberg Township, PA, March 18, 2021 –Kevin Dellicker today announced a Congressional Exploratory Committee to evaluate his potential candidacy for the United States House of Representatives in Pennsylvania’s 7th Congressional District. If he decides to run, Mr. Dellicker would compete in the Republican primary for the chance to challenge Democrat Susan Wild in the 2022 general election.
“Representative Susan Wild and the new Democratic Congress are running far too left, far too fast,” said Mr. Dellicker. “They’ve only held the majority for two months, but they’ve already moved beyond the boundaries of the mainstream Lehigh Valley voter,” he said. “And they’re just getting started.”
Mr. Dellicker is a 35-year resident of Lehigh County who lives in Heidelberg Township with his wife Susan and their three sons. He’s a prolific community volunteer who coached 20 season of youth sports, serves on church council, and held numerous local leadership positions. “I’m not a politician,” said Mr. Dellicker. “I’m just an ordinary guy who wants to help his country get back on track.”
Since 2005, Mr. Dellicker has been the owner of Dellicker Strategies, a successful small business that he and Susan founded in the basement of their home. The company helps organizations upgrade their technology infrastructure and improve their cybersecurity. “We’ve helped 630 school districts enhance their broadband access, including 44 schools in Lehigh, Monroe and Northampton counties,” said Mr. Dellicker. “We’ve been helping people bridge the ‘digital divide’ for 16 years.”
Mr. Dellicker is a 25-year veteran of the United States Armed Forces. He deployed overseas four times in support of the Global War on Terrorism, including two tours each for Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring (Afghanistan) Freedom. “We need to talk more about the threat from the Communist Party of China,” said Mr. Dellicker. “We must act now to counter their aggressive plans before they become a belligerent superpower.”
Mr. Dellicker is considering a run because Republican voters need a choice in selecting the best candidate to challenge Democrat Susan Wild in 2022. “The stakes are too high,” said Mr. Dellicker. “Electing a common-sense Republican next year would bring hometown values back to our House seat and might even restore the balance of power in Congress.”
Mr. Dellicker intends to meet with friends and neighbors over the next few months leading up to a decision. If he runs, he will focus on three priority issues for the Lehigh Valley: restoring American institutions, rebuilding American infrastructure, and defending American freedom.
"We don't need elitists telling us what to do,” said Mr. Dellicker. “We need freedom to live in peace and prosperity."
